Rugby (Sevens) Rugby sevens is a fastly growing sport in Portugal, primarily as a result of the the success of the national team in recent international competions. Rugby sevens is a fast paced exciting version of rugby union where instead of 15 players on each team there are only 7. However rugby sevens is only played in certain areas and to some extent is still a minority sport.

Portuguese Style - Bullfighting
Portuguese Bullfighting is very similar to that of its Spanish counterpart except for one crucial part, the Portuguese don't believe in killing the bull. Bullfights are held in two phases, firstly there is the spectacle of the cavaleiro, who rides on horseback and aims to put three or four javelins into the back of the bull. This is then followed by the Pega who provokes the bull to run at him, he attempts to subdue the bull without any protection or weapons of defense.
